Nice, and very exciting...It's because of the magical power of stop-motion,I think. It makes you feel somehow much more inside the video and the small world of your puppets, the world you have created. I love it!!

cool idea, it's a personal song, so i like the fact that you showed Thom and Johnny together like that. Ofcoarse, it's a bit jerky, but i understand this isn't supposed to be a final draft. But besides the melting, it's basically just a stop motion rendition right? I'm just imagining story boards for this, each one would read as "they play guitar and sing" and then "pan and look at some stuff" ya know? where is it going/ what's the point? I don't mean to be too harsh.

Thanks for the critique. Actually, the whole thing is stopmotion. no filters, nothing. the jerkiness is windows movie makers highest frmerate, but that's ok as i'm using this as my storyboard, kind of a claymation sketch if you will before i do my final, fully detailed, smooth refined version.

big fan of the stop motion technique! very impressed you made the time to get everything set up for your entry - its not easy! - getting the camera onto a tripod will definitely help but you should keep the 'disorientating' technique anyway. :o)

Thanks! That's because I'm holding the camera in one hand(no tripod), holding the lights in that same hand, and animating with the other hand. The final version will include higher frame rate, better models and steadier shots. (this is the only "all clay" story board!)

I grew up in england and saw all these animations like wombles and wanted this to feel like that but with rainbows.
